Daily Babble | #METGALA

The Met Gala this year celebrated the new exhibit at the Anna Wintour Costume Center, China : Through the Looking Glass.

There was a lot of speculation before the event surrounding people's outfits, considering the dress code theme is based on the exhibit. For a China exhibit, many people were concerned that outfits may be either racially insensitive or air on the side of cultural appropriation. While more than a few people missed the mark, and were clearly misinformed with the inspiration for their gowns, even more chose to ignore the dress code and wear the usual gowns.

However, the people who did take on the China-inspired dress code and did it well were incredible. My top choices from the #MetGala are as follows (in no particular order because forcing me to choose between these would be cruel and unusual punishment).
